Why a mystic artbook chapter still needs a colophon
A numbered NFT comic spread can travel without the last page of the folio. That is convenient for listings and dishonest for chapters. The colophon is where we write the earth-variant name, the page count, the paper stock, whether the title plate is leaf or matte, and how many tokens were intended.
Without that page, a collector inherits a picture of a sanctum door and no record that the bound chapter had eight pages and a silent middle spread. We have seen listings that imply the token is the chapter. It is not. The token is a record of the title spread. The chapter is the folio.
Our colophon is one page, lettered in the same caption texture as the rest of the chapter, not a contract in a different typeface. It names Codevault Base, the lead illustrator, the sitting year, and the Bagendon address as the place of drawing. It does not pretend to be a Marvel imprint line.
If you skip the colophon to save a leaf of paper, we will still put the same lines on a wraparound strip. The information has to live somewhere the binder cannot lose between proof and sew.
