Double-page splash or mandala spread
One opening with the fold marked. Pencils, inks, colour, and a proof on heavy stock. Priced per spread, not per hour.
Relic or character portrait plate
A single artbook extra with caption line. Original figures and objects only.
Glyph lettering for one chapter
Caption pass, balloon placement off the fold, and a one-page glyph key. Does not include a redistributable typeface.
Folio review sitting
Three hours at the Wood Lane table with printed proofs and a written bind list. Additional hours if the dummy needs a second afternoon.
What moves a chapter quote
Page count is the first lever. A sixteen-page Doctor Strange–tradition chapter with two mandala spreads takes more weeks than an eight-page street walk. Gold leaf on the title plate is a second lever because each leaf test can fail on cheap stock. A numbered NFT edition of the title spread is a third: we prepare the plate and the colophon line; marketplace fees are yours. Travel to Bagendon is not billed. Rewrites after the agreed ink pass are billed as a new sitting.
Deposits are one-third of the chapter quote before thumbnails, one-third at approved layouts, remainder before the folio leaves the table. See refunds for what happens if a chapter is stopped mid-ink.
